What you need
For approximately 3 liters of laundry detergent:
- 100g of natural soap flakes
- 100 g of baking soda
- 3 liters of very hot water
Optional:
- A few drops of hydrosol or natural fragrance
- Rose, jasmine or lilac petals to delicately perfume the water
The preparation
Get a container with a capacity of about 5 liters so that you can easily mix the preparation without risk of overflowing.
Pour the soap flakes into very hot water and stir until completely dissolved. Then add the baking soda and stir thoroughly until you have a homogeneous mixture.
Allow to cool naturally.
Once the mixture has cooled, you can personalize it to your liking. To add a natural floral touch, you can steep a few rose, jasmine, or lilac petals in hot water before preparing the mixture. You can also add a hydrosol or a few drops of natural fragrance.
Your homemade laundry detergent is ready to use.
Use
Before each use, shake or mix your laundry detergent vigorously. Like any natural preparation, it may separate slightly when left to stand: this is perfectly normal.
Use it like your usual laundry detergent, adjusting the dosage according to the amount of laundry and the hardness of your water.
